Here we go MoonBeams, into the Venus in Leo Retrograde Cycle where we explore the edges of the Beauty Principles, Radical Self Love, and Pride. We're gonna explore all the ways whiteness, patriarchy, & capitalism push us away from deeply understanding the value of self love and the true beauty that's literally everywhere around us. This can be a tender transit because Venus' Shadow keywords; vanity, pride, selfishness, envy, jealousy, and greed have very intentional roots in shame. What should be healthy ShadowWeRK during any Venus Retrograde cycle is often INTENTIONALLY exploited by our current power structures.
We will explore the edges of this in the video but before you watch that I recommend gathering up the following info:

Interesting AstroIRL from Venus' Retrograde Cycle in 2015…
The orange beast announced his candidacy for POTUS on June 16, 2015, just six days before Venus entered the Shadow of its Retrograde Cycle in Leo. Venus was at 9º of Leo on that day, coming conjunct his Natal Pluto in Leo at 10º03' in his First House. This set the tone to catapult him into infamy transforming his image in unprecedented ways (sorry, had to do it). It's also worth noting that the most popular US Natal Chart has the North Node at 7º36' of Leo so Venus we also passing over that powerful, purposeful point in the life path of the United States. Biggly changes were initiated. Our relationships with friends, family, neighbors, coworkers, and so on were forever altered by this announcement and all the things that have happened since. I'll also add that at 69 years old at the time of the announcement the orange beast was in a 10th House protection year, which for his chart is ruled by Venus.
I don't want to waste too much time on this, but it's a fascinating example of so many things, highlighting how a Venus Retrograde looks when we drill down into our own charts.

A cycle which I hope finds him being convicted and incarcerated during his 77th year of life, which is his 6th House Profection (which is Capricorn, ruled by Saturn, and his Saturn is located natally in his 12th House of incarceration, hospitalizations, and hidden enemies AND is transiting his 8th House of secrets, hidden shame, and GUILT. FINGERS CROSSED!) lolz.
